Issue: At the moment, there are a lot of people who are isolated and could be quite lonely. In particular, a lot of Nursing and Residential Homes with elderly residents are currently not letting visitors in and so the residents are affected by this.

Plan: To help tackle this, we will reach out to Moorland House and send them emails and maybe a few digital photos for their residents. Therefore in order to achieve this badge, we are going to contact them in one of the above ways. Of course, if you know of any people within our local community who are in the same difficult position, you are welcome to reach out to them instead.

Action: You are each required to write 4 different letters/emails. This is explained in more detail below:

Email: If you choose to email, please (with their permission) use your parent’s email address to type these up and send them to your leader to send them on. If you choose to include pictures, please get your parent’s permission first.

Please do not include your full name or anything too personal. We will be reading over all emails and removing all contact details before we send them on.

As well as forwarding the emails on we might also print them and send them off with a card, all depends on you how many replies we get!
